Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
Hi,
Have a problem regarding batch rendering of animations (SketchUp Make 2016/2017, indigoRT_x64_4.0.50, SkIndigo 4.0.50.1, Windows 7 & 10):
MSPhysics has an own export function for animations to Indigo batch files.
You can export MSPhysics "Replay" data of an animation to .igq- and .igs-files after doing the SkIndigo Render Settings (Halt etc.).
The problem is, that the batch rendering process saves the single frames not completely rendered, but in the state of the last image update.
This could be minutes before the desired SPP or render time per frame.
An example: set Halt time 200 sec., render time 200 sec., saved frame in the quality after 112 sec. - 88 sec. wasted.
On large animations this could be a big time waste and lead to a lower quality of the film.
This happens only with batch rendering, not with normal rendering of a single image directly from SkIndigo.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
Cool! Thanks Ono!
Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
Ok I have had some time to test some basic things.
First of all Skindigo doesn't seem to export correctly any additional textures. Even the mat previev doesn't show any roughness if a texture map is used. Probably it's an export issue.

Is working fine here. Can you provide a small example .skp scene showing this issue?Pibuz wrote:Ok I have had some time to test some basic things.

Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
Attached two skindigo tests of mat preview, with and without Fresnel Scale map.
I get no difference in the mat preview, and Indigo doesn't have maps either.
Also, the roughness numeric parameter receinved by Indigo doesn't seem to be related to the one set inside SketchUp: should it? (Skindigo value for roughness was 0.3, in Indigo it was translated into about 0.52, is that behaviour correct?)

This is fixed in 4.0.54: https://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vi ... =1&t=14374Faust07 wrote:Hi,

Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
Thanks for bug report, fresnel scale maps exporting was busted for phong, fixed: https://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vi ... 17&t=14375Pibuz wrote:Attached two skindigo tests of mat preview, with and without Fresnel Scale map.

Regarding the roughness value: If the scene was last saved with a SkIndigo version that was using exponent, the old exponent will be exported. If you change the roughness value, the updated value should be exported.
Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
The scene was completely new, with no previous SU versions....
Oh: and the map export phong issue included the roughness map!
..Don't know if others might have been bugged since I didn't test them!
Thanks a lot btw!

It works fine here.Pibuz wrote:Oh: and the map export phong issue included the roughness map!
Please try with 4.0.54.1, and if it still doesn't work, please send me a .skp showing the problem.
Thanks!
Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
Ok I'll try soon thanks!
Re: SkIndigo 4.0.50.1
Regarding batch rendering of animations in MSPhysics:
The export of animations from MSPhysics now works fine. Now a constant quality of the single images can be achieved regardless of the current load on the computer. This allows the quality of the resulting film to be adjusted very well. Just tested in IndigoRT_x64_4.0.61 with SkIndigo-4.0.61.2. Thank you!
