Sorry about the last minute change:
The competition deadline is extended another two weeks, until 23th of Jan 11:59pm GMT

It seems we choose a pretty quiet holiday period for the compo

Feel free to work on your submission some more, Bacon, although it's darn good already! :)

Glass acceleration should work very well getting sunlight through those windows!

Hi!

Been awhile since I've dropped in, but was surfing through and spotted this thread.

And just so happens, I have something to offer that's kinda steampunk-ish.

Wow, am I cutting it close or what?!

Wish I had time to dress it up with an environment, but I'm in the middle of a fairly intense project and really doubt I can find the time in the next two days.

Here's the info requested:
Nickname: Cyberdactyl
Version of Indigo used: indigo_v1.0.9_3 (old free version)
Rendering time / CPUs: 5 hours 20 minutes. Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 2.4GHz
List of tools used (and external artwork, with links): SketchUp and Indigo

Also, if you want a bit of background, this is my idea of a 're-imagined turret' from the 1998 game 'Battlezone'.

HERE's a link to a thread at a Battlezone forum where I develop the design and discuss the turret inside and out. Early wire-frames and un-rendered Sketchup images are sprinkled amongst a discussion of the vehicle.

HERE's the full res link

Best of luck to everyone!

Nice to see somebody using the older free version of Indigo, your result looks quite nice.

But regarding the Free version you can go up to v1.1.17, with a gigantic changelog and 17 releases in between this and your version!
Get the last free Indigo version here: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... f=1&t=5506
The fitting Exporter is here: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =17&t=5444
