@manitwo:
I think your image is extremely quality, but since when is it any modernistic (as opposed to modern)?
Have you checked this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modernism?

Re: August Competition - Modernism
I'm by far no expert on this subject but doesn't belong those simplistic geometric shapes of the ceiling lamps and kitchen elements to modernism? (or small-scale modernism ) Hmm ... looks like i'm stretching the term "modernism" a bit.|MM| wrote:@manitwo:

Re: August Competition - Modernism
Actually, In terms of ¨Modernism¨ nobody has posted a legitimate Modernism Architecture, there is a lot of difference between Modernism and Modern. Example: Modernism = Antoni Gaudí / Modern = Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Even though im an Architect myself I was a little confused at the beginning of the competition and unfortunately didnt have time to finish or change the design ... anyways im posting my image lets see how the Indigo bosses take this confusion, hopefully everyone is participating.

Now you confused everything.
Sure Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was a modernistic architect as well as well as his architecture is modern, meaning contemporary.
Gaudi's architecture was "Modernisme" or Catalan modernism which is a different period and an independent and local style(to Barcelona).
You mean both Alvar Alto and Le Corbusier weren't some most influential architects of Modernism?kikeonline wrote:Actually, In terms of ¨Modernism¨ nobody has posted a legitimate Modernism Architecture, there is a lot of difference between Modernism and Modern.
Then what?
