Hi XSIndigos,
in order to provide you a better and better XSIndigo software, would be great to hear directly from your experience your wishlist.
Thanks for your ideas.

A version of XSI 4.2
Some of us still use this version.
Or at minimum a .XSI to .IGI converter.

m1j,
although i understand your point, i can't ensure a very next to come XSindigoExporter for XSI 4.x. Due to the focus on 6.xx release of the exporter and on the integration of Indigo into XSI, i've really no time to check also compatibility with 5.xx and 4.xx release of XSI.
I apologize for the lack.
Riccardo.

- Any way to preview material (would be a dream come true!)
- Exit Portals (Maybe they are there but I haven't figured them out yet)
- Things like Sigma for the Oren Nayar material (again maybe is there but can't find it).
- Maybe a tutorial for idiots like me, he he
Thanks for asking.
I will experiment some more and see what I can find.
Keep up the great work.
Javier

Errors not being shown

Under some circumstances (hard to replicate, I just get there somehow) the exporter fails to export and no error message is shown. If I save the file, close the scene (reload any other scene) and then reload the file then the error is show. Maybe that can be solved.
It seems not to like unused materials (fails to export) or maybe is just some of the unused ones. Even if I tell it to export unused materials. Easy to solve but sometimes I would like to keep the material to be reused.
THanks
Javier

@velazquez:
- Oren-Nayar sigma has been fixed in XSIndigoExporter 1.0.9.1. does it works for you?
- Can u please cut-and-paste the error message? or can u email screenshot? or can u try to replicate with a simple scene?
Thanks, Riccardo.

Again, maybe is just that I am not so clever with the Render tree but I can't find how to input/edit the sigma value.
Nothing wrong I just don't find it.
I am more of a modeler
Thanks for the help

Javier,
no problem at all...but are u using 1.0.9.1???
In this case u should have no problem in finding Oren-Nayar Sigma parameter as show in the screenshot below.
Let me know also for the issue affecting unused material export (a log copy-and-paste will be really appreciated).
Regards, Riccardo.

I see you have the sigma control.
I don't have it. You can see in the screen shot.
And As you can see I do have version 1.0.9.1 installed
Well, at least for once, I don't feel so silly...
Any ideas what it may be?
I always uninstall and delete the previous version.
By the way it would be handy if the version would show up in the "about Indigo" menu
Thaks for your help
