Daz3d does some cool stuff, but renders terribly. Any chance someone is willing to write an exporter for daz3d to indigo?
Just in case someone is willing... Daz3d is still being given away freely for another 8 days(31mar2012), as they extended their free marketing offer due to demand.
Exporter for daz3d
Re: Exporter for daz3d
Some kind of Daz3D Exporter could be an interesting area to invest some work on.
Since the community over there is wiling to invest some hard earned $$$ to get nice images by buying stuff all the time.
There is already a Lux based commercial renderer called reality 2.0 and even Octane is working on a Exporter for it too...
Big benefit for Indigo here is that a Daz3D user would get a exporter for that app and also for all the others together without any extra cost!!!
The RT version would be perfect beside the drawback off lacking SSS rendering :/
Reality 2.0 is limited to Daz3D only and the Octane guys seem to pick 99€ for such a exporter, since the 3DMax sdk integration does so...
