Indigo do not save diffraction

Post by ior » Tue Oct 22, 2013 5:15 am

I am doing an animation and I turned on post process diffraction and Indigo saves the image automatically without the diffraction, when the image is rendering the diffraction check box is turned on, why indigo do not save the image with the diffraction?

Can you please state the softwares versions ior ? Wich way are you editing the camera settings in Maya for Indigo ?

When I set the 'Lens Diffraction' to 'post-process' within the dedicated editor (the shelf icon found first in the Indigo shelf tab) the IGS output in render settings is:

Code: Select all

	<aperture_diffraction>true</aperture_diffraction>
	<post_process_diffraction>true</post_process_diffraction>
obsolete asset

I am using latest versions, Indigo 2.6.23 and MtI 3.6.17.

Yes I get that in the IGS and when indigo is rendering, the diffraction checkbox is on and I can see the diffraction in the rendering image, but the automatic saved image to the image folder does not have diffraction.

I see this is not a MtI error but an indigo error, Ill post in bugs as well. Strange no one spotted it, maybe something is wrong.

The code in the MtI generated igs is:

Code: Select all

Images saved automatically by Indigo do not have diffraction applied. It's a known limitation that we will fix at some point.

Can you please fix it soon? When do you think there will be a fix?

I would like to have diffraction in animation. I am not going to stand in front of the computer saving images manually.

EDIT: Ill post a request later to remember this.
