Is Maya Being Supported?

I spent about a day using this product with Maya 2013, and the animation export issues prevent me from using it for any serious work, just taking a simple previs with very basic animation seemed to break the export, worked fine with static scenes but I just uninstalled it because I dont need the hassle of debugging unfinished software at this point.

I really liked the results of the renderer, and did read through many of the forum posts in this section, and this is where I got confused, is this product still getting Maya support and is their a roadmap for its development that is public? I cant recommend this product at this point for real world work if you are a maya shop but I would like to see if its worth following for a future evaluation.

Hi VexaraX,
The existing Maya exporter (Maya to Indigo) is largly written in MEL.
We will be replacing it with a C++ exporter at some point, which should allow for much faster and more robust exporting.
I can't give an exact timeline at this point, but I will update this Maya exporter forum with more details when they are known.

Hi

:D glad maya support is not going to end.

Hope that during this year we can give it a try.
