- animate objects
- set rendering range like with other renderers (in Render Globals)
- Open MayaToIndigo Options window, Renderer panel:
  • set Halt Conditions: The animation rendering will not start if frames have an unlimited rendering budget (halt conditions set to -1), the Indigo Editor will display a warning instead.

hal time (seconds): seconds to render, per frame. Maximum is 1 week IIRC. Frames will have the same rendering time but the frame quality may be uneven depending on the scene situation throughout the animation.

target sample count: Each frame will be rendered until it reaches the target spp count. Output quality will be homogeneous.
Both conditions can be associated, so one expansive frame to render can be stopped before it reaches the target spp count if the time budget was reached.

Then, down the Renderer panel click "animation", then export.

edit: if you are using Indigo Renderer it is best to use the console for animations: Renderer panel > Display > Console. The console should be also found with RT by now I think.

MtI 3.4.16 and higher now use the Maya Render Settings instead of the MayaToIndigo Options window.

MtI will now export a single frame or the animation range depending on the Frame/Animation ext setting as per normal.

Halt conditions still apply.
