Older scenes still crashes...

I also get this when try to load plugin, this was happening with previous version too:

Code: Select all

# Failed to create attributes
// Error: RuntimeError: (kInvalidParameter): The data is not of that type //
// Warning: Failed to call script creator function //
Note that I didn't do edition of mti_CHK_self.mel as you suggested.

Update in less than one hour.

This error is because I forgot to update the plugin file of the package (it was locally fixed already), and I'll start fiddling with this open scene errors.

Updated:

mti beta 2 test 6, update 2

- updated indigoPlugin (indigoShader could not load)
- removed actions on open/load scene

I'm supposing that the mentioned actions were causing the crashes you experienced. It didn't happen to me, sorry.

You will have to restart Maya after installing this if MtI was running prior the install (or the Maya session will end crashing as before). It is okay to start Maya (without starting the old MtI), install b2t6u2 and go on.

PS: the fixes on meshes and instances were made based on the cases you submitted to me. They may need further stressing.

Thanks for the updates CTZn :)
I'm currently busy working on a short film, but I'll be back to Maya (and testing) soon

Thanks for the news Lemo, much appreciated.

I will now be spending more time around the python API, I can not let it resist that much to me

One of the first applications may be: per channel, ISL code nodes. With presets ! The python API is also required (or most helpfull) for material DB interaction.

I'm a bit anxious about these user crashes on scene load... are they fixed ? How do you like the new UI for (procedural) textures ?

Note that the freeze texture button will become available in the IE after the texture was exported once.

Updated with a fix for shaders UI when textured. Missed that one because it worked depending on the Maya version.

I'm writing what should be an unified objects filtering pipeline. It's about getting wich meshes and materials should be written to the IGS, without having to filter them out again in various occasions.

The last MtI release was naively bugged in this regard, using a new chunk of code at the models spot. Sorries.

Hopefully MtI will have a first stable version before the beta 4. That will make one permanent package to fall back to, when the dev goes nuts :? That should also help in writing a documentation, I know how much it is lacking.

That's correct astalpiter. MtI will be back later this week.

There is not MtI stable version yet.

Wikileaks.

No seriously I didn't notice before myself, but yes that was in my emails :)

Just got MtI working again, I was fiddling with pieces this whole week. No big changes aftermath, it's just grabbing things better (or is it me). More testing and fiddling before the next update, wich should happen within 72h (+/-24).
