Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
Awesome!
Install works for me :]
Install works for me :]
Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
The installer is pretty straight forward, it queries Maya for the paths it's using for this and that and copy folders here and there. No surprises
Just did an icon for the shelf options button, the second one. It is rendered with Indigo at the native resolution (32x32), plus a slight postpro using the alpha mask. This version fitted both Maya UI types best together.
I'll redo others icons too, they are looking terrible with the Qt GUI. Basically it's using black and white for transparency, the most dominant colors of the previous (emergency) icon set.
Extract it within the prefs/icons folder of the installation package and re-install MtI, the easy way. Well, at least Maya should point you nearby when you'll change the image.

Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
Hmm didnt work. I have a mac and maya 2010. I run the script and it tells me indigo was installed but i cant find the indigo shelf. Do I have to activate it ?
Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
Ok, we'll switch there for that one. I'll be coming back to you today with a fully informational, debugging method. That may be technical but you'll know all the paths Maya uses for real at homeJBKING wrote:i cant find the indigo shelf. Do I have to activate it ?

Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
Well, I did a stupid mistake with implementing Glass Accel, It's written to false for Indigo versions older than 2.6.1, instruction wich they can of course not understand. Only 2.6.1 can be run with the current beta update soon, with more stuff
Thanks for the icons, I'm checking this SreckoM !

Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
What shader to use in Maya to be able to create glass?
Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
There's only the Indigo Shader for now. Phong and Blinn support (respectively for GlossyTransparent and specular) have been removed long ago for miscellaneous reasons. I think that it would be nice to have them back, now that I'm extending nodes fearlessly with extra-attributes
At the beginning I didn't want to add extra attributes, and also the result wasn't consistent between Maya Render and Indigo so I came over limitations that way. It will definitly be an otpion for MtI to interpret (approximate) more of the Maya(/mr ?) shaders. For instance, coloured transparency could be implemented by mixing the diffuse/phong/whatever with a transparent, ior-less speccular. I wasn't going this way when I removed the support for Phong and Blinn nodes.
Update later today.

Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
Link updated. Dunno why I'm giving a number to the beta while I'm overwriting the file
Thanks for the hints that came with your icon set SreckoM. They are loading most of the time for me at full scale in a 32px high shelf but still, they are consistent and I liked that.
Code: Select all
- fixed 2.6.1 exclusive compatibility
- introducing the Indigo Menu. When you lost the shelf ?
- added layeredShader's editor navigation (changed navigation button to LMB - mac friendly)
- install support for dual icon set

Re: MtI 2.x beta 1
Link re-updated, clear your browser cache !
You can navigate between certain nodes by clicking on the text below the selected object name in the Indigo Editor.

- fixed plugin install
