Hi all,

I couldn't make Cindigo to displace an object according to displacement map. I've already asked in other threads, but no answer.
Here is what i have:

Simple scene with a cube (not converted to Editable object).
Black and White checkerboard map.
Blend Material with displacement.

I get this

As you can see, it displaces just fine, but how do i get rid of those gapd between the edges of my cube?

BTW, i couldn't upload screenshots here. I got this

Thank you!

Regards,
Alexander

Small update: When i limit the materials by a selection, i get somewhat satisfying result

It would be great to have something like "Preserve Edges" feature, or something like that.

Thanks!

hi!

changing the phong angle on the object to > 90 should do what you want.

also, beveling/rounding the edges helps.

cheers!

Hi fused,

Thank you very much for your suggestions. Changing the phong angle did the trick. I'm almost happy now :D
