Hello guys! I didn't find this topic on the forum so I thought about asking you..
Is there a way to get a realistic terrain texture? by terrain I mean Mountains, like snowy mountains or so.
I know there are just a few textures that do what I think I want but seems Cindigo doesn't like the ISL script. The original C4D way does not work too.. so.. Any ideas?
Here are some screenshots of what Cindigo says me when importing "Snowy Rock": https://www.indigorenderer.com/materials/materials/1132
Thanks a lot! have a great holidays!

Re: Terrain texture en C4D
if you can read "param"something in the error message, that's because there is a or some controller(s) related to the script.
try to open this mat in Indigo app directly and have a look in the ISL editor, you will see there are some controls on the left side what you can change.
It's possible to tweak the mat in Indigo app, but you can't import it in C4D.
The solution is to link this mat in C4D using an external material type, apply it to the mesh, launch a render in Indigo, edit the mat, tweak it, and save it (and relink it to C4D).

I thought I know what I was doing but I understood you wrong..
How do you apply an external texture to a C4D mesh? Inside Indigo Renderer? My project is a quite long animation so I'm not sure how to proceed..
Could you explain a bit more about what you said?:

Re: Terrain texture en C4D
create a new Indigo material in C4D
choose type : external link the .igm or .pigm file using the path
apply it to the mesh
