Hi, again
I also want to mention that when importing a pigm material into C4D, values in the roughness channel are lost. It looks like a bug.

I can't seem to reproduce this issue with the roughness. Can you supply an example igm/pigm that shows this issue?

Regarding importing multiple materials, c4d unfortunately doesn't offer a file dialog to select multiple files, at least not in their sdk.

To reproduce issue with roughness, you can create Indigo phong material in C4D. Set any roughness texture. Export material in extra option and save to disk. Open this pigm material in indigo - everything is OK. Now same material import to the C4D. Material roughness is converted to the exponent and texture is gone...

For import multiple materials- is there any way to the import material using drag and drop to the C4D at least one by one.

I also find another odd function "export indigo scene file (*.igs)" in C4D export menu. When used it has no effect. :o

thanks!

That's exactly what I tried. What version of Indigo for C4D are you using? There were some issues with the exponent to roughness transition that should be fixed by now.

I dont know, but I guess not? Does c4d allow drag and drop of obj files for example? If yes, it may be possible.

Opps. It should do something haha. Maybe I should just remove it if it's broken (or fix it). But I hope you are on the latest version of Indigo for C4D.

I am still on the latest version on C4DR19 and Indigo (now 4.2.22) . Maybe I doing something wrong..

C4D allow probably all importable files import by drag and drob, obj files too.
Export scene to igs/pigs from C4D would be useful. :)

Ok, I tried this, but it creates a new document for every material file you drag and drop into c4d.... If that still helps you, I can put that in the next release.

Drag and drop is definiteli useful though to the new files. :) But I thing it must be some way. I use MaxToC4D, and it can import fbx file to the current scene..you can choose if you can add to the current scene or to the new...It named merge, same choise you can use if add object from C4D browser..to the new scene (new file) or merge. But if i think about, C4D probably can not merge more than one file in one step... Perhaps it would be best if it was going to open the pigm material from the C4D browser ... that would be really useful. I try open pigm from browser now, but C4D stop working.

Ah yeah. That works now. Can drag and drop igm and pigm files from the content browser into the scene. :!:

New build some time soon :)
