Hey guys....not sure why someone didn't do this already...but here we go.
It's for Indigo starters on Cinema and for product renders or automotive stuff.
Basically it's a rig that i built in Cinema so everyone can simply start using Indigo
and save a TON of time with setting up lights inside the scene.
PLEASE WATCH THE MOVIE IN THE PACK SO YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT.

Happy rendering!

®
Originalplan® Area Light Kit. For Indigo Renderer - ver.1-

A flexible Light kit for Indigo users with HDRI map background and fully customizable lights.
IT WILL SAVE YOU A TON OF TIME!! Specially if you are just starting out with Indigo.

Lights are designed to be moved by vectors so you don't have to drag and rotate and
stuff like that. All controlls for the lights can be found in the *User Data menu when
you click on the Originalplan® Area Light Kit.

*** Will be updated in the future with more features***

// USAGE :

If you need more than one light just hold down cmd on OSX and drag a new Light setup out
from the first one. BOOM you are done!

// IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you want to have FULL individual controll for each setup via layers you have to create them
accordingly! That means from the start you will have 1 dedicated light layer for the lights!
So if you want to have moreyou have to create that from the Indigo render settings pane!!
And find the Indigo light tag in the setup and change the layer in it accordingly.

MOST IMPORTANT :

Have fun! And happy rendering!
It's all Love.

PS: Don't distribute it! Please consult me first! It's free but still. ;)

Great idea and expression!!

I would add another node to the XPresso, to get better viewport response with the light color:

v. 1.2 Added simple Sun/Sky/HDRI controls.
So now with RT preview you can simply slide the sun into place.
Rather than rolling the Sky blindly all over. :P

NEW Link in the very first post!

Enjoy!

My suggestion would be using three point lighting as standard: Key, Fill and Rim light. :)

Maybe in the next ver. :)

Sun/Sky system felt important to me...i remembered when i was starting up in Indigo that was the tricky part for me. Kinda wanted to see an indicator where the sun is in the viewport. But now with RT render in Cindigo it's easy but still rotating the sky object is not a good solution i think. (at least manually it isn't )
So that fixes that.

OK Oscar next ver. Key+Fill+Rim! 8)

1.3 is getting pretty cool.
Finally figured out a drag&drop HDRI system + controls to rotate them.

I'm thinking about to compile this system as a plugin for Cinema.
Would be much easier then always opening the project up. And i could pack a bunch of HDRI's for use plus
nice light textures to use from content library inside Cinema.
BUT since i never did a plugin...i have to look up a bunch of things how to do it
with C4D SDK and Xcode.

Can't be that hard.. :P

Link updated to v1.4

Added features :

- Three point lighting as a start up setup. ( Drag & copy lights infinite amount )
- Edit each light intensity via Indigo Light tag & Light Layers
- Added drag & drop HDRI function ( automatically assigns background & emitter material to your scene )
- Added rotate and tilt function to the background Sky object ( HDRI and Sun/SKY system )
- Added smaller step size to the light vector rotate system so now you can control the lights more precisely

+ Added a measured color chart so you can adjust your white balance in post.
+ If you want to have separate Rim lights then select geometry make a selection tag and drop it into the desired Lights target object area. Or just simply make a Null object and drag that into the target area. The light setup will take that as the center point.

Enjoy!
