Hey fused,
Is it possible to tweak the cindigo default scene?
F.e. I want to get rid of the "no lights in scene" message by default, and choose a studio hdr for default lighting?
Is that possible?

Isn't that Cinema 4D setting rather than Cindigo?
This works just fine in Blender, by changing default renderer to Indigo, adding a Hemi with a HDRI, and then clicking "Save Startup File".
I think all it does is saving that scene (with the data in it, like with a normal scene) somewhere, and opening it on startup.

You can create a default new.c4d file which will allow tostart a scene with a default lighting

Ah yeah, in C4D itself...
but it has to be possible to tell it Cindigo.
I don't want to "mess up " my C4D general default scene...

You just set the cindigo's defaults, meaning it will start with a given texture for the background or axis with the sun position, neither of which will interfere with cinema own renderings, sadly this solution will only be of use to new projects.
