FYI - All seems to be working fine within the new demo version of R14 (maxon posted the demo version today)
Texture loading before rendering seems to be a lot faster - and be prepared for some whizzy action when you change camera views

Great news!
Did you mean that texture loading runs a lot faster when being exported through Indigo, or did you mean in general?

Well I guess it pertains to both - I have tried a normal c4d file, c4d & Indigp, " & Maxwell, " & Thea - all very very zippy - (I'm mac based and it's been a nightmare for ages now - some scenes took around 5-10mins to get "prepared")

Fused told me that their XML parser wouldn't have been known being the fastest on the planet... but maybe something changed here with C4D?
Did you notice that speedup under 10.7 either?

I know you mean 10.8 -right? - the answer is no. In fact pretty much the same -only within system based apps ie spotlight within finder/dialogue windows seems to be a bit faster but that's about it. To be fair what would speed up the mac right now is a bit of decent hardware - an ATI 7970 or the like, when will they adopt the pc approach?? - the ATI 5870 I have seems to be a bit of a bottle neck with larger works (top of the range mac pro with only a 1gb graphics card... !!!!!)

No that's the XML parser we use in Indigo

Ah, alright.
But I won't update to R14 at the moment... moneyoneymoney, until I get a well paid sculpting job.
