Another question, should the previews have or not the watermark? Maybe the master file should be edited with this option and placed somewhere in the public download area or the DB area for new users?

EDIT: Ah my wrong! It's rendering with the watermark. Didn't notice. It's all cool. You can see I'm somewhat excited here.... 8)

At first everything is awesome, but it looks that there is a difference in the name of the material in database and the name in the file. There is basically also no naming convention. The folder structure is a one thing but actual name of the material is the other one. Sample here

type_color/shade_existing textures-channels_version
samples:
concrete_darkgrey_tx-cbd_001
glass_white fritt_tx-cbt_012

channel key:
c - color (diffuse)
b - bump
d - displace
t - transparency

Something like that. Of course all names small case (names are case sensitive)

Is there available some basic tutorial how to create material files and how to use them?

This would be nice introduction to Material Database page which misses such information.
