0.9 test 8 Linux build (32 and 64 bit)

Post by OnoSendai » Wed Oct 17, 2007 4:20 am

For those lucky people with a 64 bit CPU,
and those running 64-bit linux,
here is a native linux x64 build of indigo.

http://www.indigorenderer.com/joomla/in ... &Itemid=62

Only indigo_console is built, no GUI executable for now.
Apart from that everything should work, hopefully.
You'll probably need to install OpenEXR.

EDIT:
32 bit native linux build:

Ono:

I have attached the last bit of the logfile from that huge render i've been running - something "funny" happens - 9000 seconds for the last save?!?!

Also, network rendering does not work. The master never responds to the slave - the slave appears to work correctly however.

I always get a kick out of other peoples replies to that.

quadLOL was an appropriate name for this particular box, though. :P

The same here.
Still got the exr problems with 64 and 32 bit and openexr 1.4a and 1.6

Macrob
can you open an exr with:
exrdisplay path/to/image
?

(test to see if this is an exr issue, or Indigo)

Hello,

just tested thew 64bit build on Fedora 7.

Some problems appeared with missing liberies of OpenEXR 1.2 but creating symlinks from OpenEXR 1.4 libs worked fine then.

Greetings and good work!

UPDATE:

If anyone is interested in a new Blendigo exporter which works with the linux builds, here we go:

Ono! Thx man! This is absolutely great. :D

It's working good here at 32 bit on my side.

Maybe just my imagination, does it eat more memory than wined? Can someone help me confirm this?

Aside from that, just Great!

EDIT: Ah no resume? Doesn't seem to resume.....

@ vux:

1. Why Iintel C compiler? GCC is fine.

2. You also have to know that he normaly can't to too much optimizing because all people want to use it. So if he enabled SSE or something, there are always people crying up "that build doesn't work".

Thanks.

I know that. But maybe need to build and share few variants of compile.
If used ICC Indigo may work faster.
I think its interest for many ppl.
