Textured Emitter Error

Post by sciman » Fri Aug 03, 2007 3:12 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to get a textured emitter working, but I am getting a message that says "error loading texture file". I am using a jpg file. Is this a bug? I have a cube, uv mapped, and textured with a picture. I have set the image location and emitter settings in blendigo (v. 9.0 t3). I am using indigo 9.0 t4

thanks

Onos Test Builds are quite stable and got some nice speed improvements,
finding Bugs is getting quite hard these days ;-)

Indigo is quite sensible about image formats, get sure that your jpg file is saved in baseline Mode, and also at least 24bit...
You can try to convert it to a bmp or png, but for both also stay basic, no fancy advanced saving options

I figured out myself right last night why some obj files could not work, thanks for caring ;)
obj files without texture coordinates didn't work.
Workaround was to apply a dummy textCoord, found that 24h after 9t4 release :?

Color error?

Post by Vulture » Fri Aug 10, 2007 8:24 am

Hi all,

Just downloaded Indigo some days ago. I like it very much so far. I have also downloaded and installed BlenderIndigo and found the preview of a material strange. I ask for yellow glass and get green glass. The same happens when rendering my model. See picture.
Is it the difference in version number (0.93s <-> 0.9t4)?
If not, how do I get yellow glass?

Image

Thanx a lot,
Andre

i dont think its that you got green glass, its that the yellow cube on a shaded grey background looks green

@zomB: posting with +1 isnt all that helpful either...

try to decrease green, slightly - this happens also to blue: pure blue stuff comes out violetish - there, you'd need to add slight green :)
ZomB wrote:This issue seems to be discussed here!?
that was an SSS bug, this is a absorbtion bug... AND there, it was a inverted bug, here, the colour isn't inverted, but not actually correct coloured
