This is actually quite a major release, and there's been a lot of surgery done on various things. There's a new (super-basic) wxWindows GUI, quite similar to a stripped down Violet GUI.

Also bidir works again now, even with participaring media/SSS.
It needs to be optimised again tho, but as Knuth said, 'premature optimization is the root of all evil'

v0.7 test 6
* re-enabled bidir
* made bidir work with participating media
* fixed sampling pdf bug for multiple lights
* fixed not binding texture uv coords for glossy_transparent mat.
* changed GUI to use wxWidgets
* Made it so that either absolute paths or relative paths can be used in most places
(models, textures etc..)
* the camera (and lights with bidir) can now be inside non-air media.
* added save_igi, super_sample_factor, display_period, polarisation to renderer_settings
* indigo scene official filename extension is now 'igs'
* can't use infinite planes with bidir now

Known bugs:

* blend materials using null_material don't work properly.

Next up, is to add a lot of the little bug fixes/requests that have accumulated over the last months.

woo!

many many thanks for adding the new features, however is one thing slightly amiss..

when using the -nogui option, i was NOT expecting indigo to fork() (or whatever) from the console and run completely in the background. the only way to stop indigo in this case is via task manager?!

what I WAS expecting was to indigo to run in the console and produce output on stdout so that I could at least see what it is doing. At present, if I kill indigo from the -nogui state, I could be killing it as it's writing the igi/png and totally ruin hours of rendering, right?

Also, the text output in the GUI doesn't hold enough lines for my liking - on the console I was able to scroll up and see my polarisation()/bidir()/metropolis() settings (just to verify that indigo is using those settings), but by the time I loaded a scene into the GUI this time, that output had already been lost.
EDIT: actually, I was wrong about this point, that output comes a little later, and I failed to spot it first time.... but my point still stands.
EDIT 2: Actually, 0.7t6 isn't telling me if it's using bidir or not :x

Only minor(ish) things on the GUI/usability, but so far the rendering itself good great! :)

also....

first screenshot is 0.7t6 next to 0.7t5 - same scene. bidir off. sss model. looks good. (note similar render times).

second screenshot, 0.7t6, same scene, same render time, but bidir on. huh? have i missed something?
