Quick questions - What's the monthly cost to maintain the site? What's the amount of the average donation?

I'll soon be making a donation, and the answers to those questions will help me determine what I can reasonably contribute.

Indigo's a great piece of software . . . big thanks to Nick, all the exporter writers & the Indigo user community!

Cheers!

The hosting costs approx US$90 = NZ$125 per month.
The donations have totalled NZ$850, including paypal donations and direct credit etc..
Average donation is probably about NZ$40.

That's quite expensive...
Do you happen to know how much bandwidth the site uses per month?

And we users are actually not limited by attachments amount and such... I think (hope?) the quality of service is worth it.

So when I make my donation, I need to keep in mind the currency difference? If I give NZ$125 through the PayPal account, only US$90 will be deducted from my credit card?

I ask mainly because it seems that I'm unable to change the currency type on the PayPal page.

i was under the impression that it was more O.O

The site i run is hosted by a company called hostmonster (just add a .com) and ive got 3000gigs of bandwidth a month and the cost for it (i believe paying for a year, i didn't buy the host) was a little over $220US with tax. There may be cheaper alternatives still, but this sounds a bit better then what is currently used.
Yes i know, my spelling sucks

Yes, well a lot of hosting companies *say* they provide effectively unlimited traffic, but in practice they don't. That was the case with dreamhost; they throttled us when traffic rose.

well, so far this month we've used 412.38 gbs of bandwidth, so they are good for us, and excellent service. just letting ya know.
