Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Thomas/lycium has confirmed it is OpenCL 1.1 minimum. So the issues you're having are probably more related to memory limitations pixie. The benchmark scenes we posted are both pretty heavy, having several million triangles each. Good to see it works with simpler scenes. :)
Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Thar she blows! Finally! Normal cpu rendering seems quite a bit faster. When i enable gpu rendering it just says "building open gl kernel" and nothing happens! Should probably have some sort of a progress bar for that. Material previews should be horizontally centered as well. Geforce 630

OK, got it working with caterpillar_5... and it is fast!Oscar J wrote:Thomas/lycium has confirmed it is OpenCL 1.1 minimum. Tho lots of crashes, hangings and even BSoD.
Anyone can advise a good tool to monitor system?

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Thanks a lot Ono! :D :D
Do we have to uninstall version 3? Is this stable enough for production?
I'm geting "QtNetwork4.dll/QtOpenGL4.dll/QtSql4.dll missing" error after installing RT and trying to launch it.
I'll post my benchmark, but what's the criteria? Time/samples/render method? Or is it just opening the file and let them render?
cheers,
Alvaro
Ps. I pasted them from another 3d app but got the following error (Image attached)

....failedOscar J wrote:Snorky, not sure but have you tried installing CUDA? I know Zom-B got a GTX 660 working fairly well.
I have tried to instal v3.8.x but I have the same problem... Could the latest gpu driver be the problem?
EDIT:
362.00 work! :)

No no no no, that will be in quite some time, beta does mean beta ! It took several years for 3.0 to go from first public beta stage to "stable".afecelis wrote:Is this stable enough for production?

Even the low memory scene kindly ceded by Originalplan® failed to open. :(Oscar J wrote:Thomas/lycium has confirmed it is OpenCL 1.1 minimum. It is ready for play and reporting problems back. :)CTZn wrote:No no no no, that will be in quite some time, beta does mean beta ! It took several years for 3.0 to go from first public beta stage to "stable".afecelis wrote:Is this stable enough for production?

I actually work with the v4 beta in production from Day one!CTZn wrote:No no no no, that will be in quite some time, beta does mean beta ! It took several years for 3.0 to go from first public beta stage to "stable".afecelis wrote:Is this stable enough for production?
The CPU renderer is faster now and does a great job running stable for me and my 2 Renderslaves.
The GPU renderer indeed always misses some features that I need for a project, but the CPU part is great...
There is also no need to uninstall v3! I always install new Indigo versions in a new folder with version number and thereby can always use the earlier version if sth is not working or do benchmarks between the different versions.

Hi
What's different in the latest beta 4.0.30?

This scene despite having a low memory footprint I cannot make it render either... :(burnin wrote:OK, got it working with caterpillar_5... and it is fast!Oscar J wrote:Thomas/lycium has confirmed it is OpenCL 1.1 minimum. PS: it renders on CPU, but it renders different then the original path. And makes quite a jump, from 200 to 700Mb Ram usage! o.O
