Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
I'm on a Mac, and have not had any problems with App Nap with v4. I did an overnight render last night. :)
Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Theres an option to disable it for the app, but since the checkbox is not showing up, I assume it means app nap is not supported for indigo.FakeShamus wrote:thanks, yeah I found the terminal commands for this.
also, looking into it a bit more, it seems that it's possible now for developers to include code that will prohibit app nap all together, and that check box won't appear. so maybe you guys have already prevented the app nap in this version somehow.
I'll have to see how it runs tonight. maybe there's some other factor I'm missing.
Having a hard time finding anything useful on that issue.
Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
It's "com.glare-technologies.Indigo Renderer" from what I see.fused wrote:
Actually not sure if it's com.glare.indigorenderer, or com.glaretech.indigo, or any other variant :D
Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Hi all! Any news about the bug I encountered?
Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
If your CPU is a Core 2 Quad Q6600, it's too old I'm afraid, we require SSE4.1 now. (Although we could look at lowering this requirement if it doesn't work on too many people's computers)
Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Oh damn it!
So....the new Indigo won't work on my main machine? :D
Ok I'll wait and see if other users have my issue..otherwise I'll stick to v.3.8......
That's a pity for my lifetime license, but I understand, you guys can't make your software compatible with ALL CPUs...
I'm thinking about buying a new pc but it's not the right time for me. I'll update my Indigo as soon as I can, thanks!

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
Lycium, could you post some benchmarks of Firepro W5000? Please?

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
AMD FirePro W5000:
Oscar: 1.538 M
Arthur: 0.603 M
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970:
Oscar: 7.662 M
Arthur: 2.488 M
This little card is just too awesome
Quite a few years old, doesn't ask for any additional power, tiny quiet and cool running thing. You can get the same silicon in a Radeon for a lot less money though, which I'd recommend to anyone on a budget.
Shout out to AMD Australia for the free card! They were really supportive throughout Indigo 4's development.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
ok... so my issue was not Indigo's fault. I upgraded to El Capitan last week and for some reason it altered my energy saver settings and the computer was being put to sleep automatically after a certain time. I set that back to never sleep (why did you change it, Capitan???) and my overnight render worked fine. thanks fused for looking into it anyway.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4 public beta
I think I have a couple legit bugs now. both found when opening an igi directly for adjusting tonemapping, light layers, etc.
firstly, light layer on/off switches do not seem to work. you can set the layer power to 0 and it will turn off as expected, but trying to use the main switch makes Indigo think for a bit and then does not affect the layer visibility.
second issue is, trying to save out a copy of an igi in a different format, I get an error that png, jpeg, exr, and even igi extensions are all unsupported. TIF seems to be the only format that works. see attached error example:
this is on a pretty large render, about 10,000 x 13,000 px, but I haven't encountered any problems with that workflow before.
and this is all on my mac pro (mid 2010) running OSX 10.11.4

The if-else statement is broken, with the else reportedly missing while it is not (4.0.30). Reverting to the former form.

Can you post an example?CTZn wrote:The if-else statement is broken, with the else reportedly missing while it is not (4.0.30). Reverting to the former form.
