Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
Hi all,
We are pleased to announce the release of Indigo 3.8 Stable!
You can read about the 3.8 release here: http://www.indigorenderer.com/indigo3.8
We'll be running a 16% off sale until the 31st of December, during which Indigo Renderer will be priced at only €499 (normally €595), and Indigo RT only €119 (normally €145).
Upgrades from Indigo RT to the full Indigo Renderer will also be discounted, at only €380.
The stable release is 3.8.21, which is available on the downloads page (if you don't have it already): http://www.indigorenderer.com/downloads
We are excited about this release, not least because we have a lot of cool stuff in the pipeline for Indigo 4 (see the bottom of the 3.8 page: http://www.indigorenderer.com/indigo3.8 )
Thanks to our customers and everyone on the forum for their support !

Re: Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
I have to say that me has some issues with you advertising "Object scattering" without mentioning that it is only (!!!) available in the SketchUp Exporter so far... afaik in some way also for Revit maybe...
There is no way of exporting it from C4D, 3D Max, Blender and Maya!
Also there is no (known or documented) way of creating such a scatter object via Indigo GUI...

Re: Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
..also, some new short tutorials about the various kinds of glass and relative "correct" shader would be handy for newbies..
Re: Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
From the 3.8 page. This is worth mentioning here ! Congrats to the team. What's more, if you buy Indigo 3.8 now you'll receive Indigo 4 for free when it's released!
Re: Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
As others here I'm also waiting for 4.0 GPU rendering beta...Q1 2015 hopefully :)
Also since in the announcement there are details about 4.0: is still using OpenCL 1.1? Or going to 1.2/2.0?

Re: Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
..have some more scatter presets been added to the embedded SkIndigo?
Re: Indigo 3.8 Stable Released
Ha ha, I knew it! ;o)
Thanks a lot Ono.
Now I just have to wait for the new corresponding C4D release of it.
(Or is there yet an up-to-date installer for C4D in this package too?)
Kind regards,
Tom

Just curious, will there be a discount for Indigo 4 for those who own a previous version?

The gtx 980 is quite a beast, I was expecting the pig to get roasted, but it surely looks nice! :)
