Hey, neo0. you could make a use of sharp edges and auto smoothing based on the edge angle. But those tools' names depend on what you are using for modeling. P.S. That filenameneo0. wrote:Latest project

Re: different metals = same metal
Hello tornello, I am not familiar with SketchUp, but I guess that presets are .nk data files. In this case this applies: NK data: The Indigo distribution comes with a set of lab-measured data for various metals. If one of these data sets is selected, the diffuse colour and specular reflectivity colo...

Re: Oscar's rendering thread
Very much. Aston profile 2 is simply great all the way - composition, colors, overall feeling. Few things one could find in the model itself, but those are just nitpicking.Oscar J wrote:Glad you like it guys!

Re: Shameless Self Promotion!
As I am looking at the image, I think I am missing a small portion of cuticula on the nail. Or it was just so nicely cut?

Yep, I can confirm that too.

Thank you, yes, I definitely agree - I tweaked it a bit in later images. I will surely post the finals.Oscar J wrote:Looks great, but the wood material needs some work (but I'm sure you already know that)

Re: quixel 3do - marmoset toolbag 2 - indigo
Hi, what tone mapping setting are you using (Imaging>Tone Mapping)? You possibly would like to switch to Linear first. Next thing I would do is changing Quadratic coefficient to 0 and Scale coefficient to 1500, so it would like this: exponent a=0 b=1500 c=0 gamma=2.2 And the setting for IOR around 1...
