Re: GPU mode bug - Invisible objects shade themselves
I've done some test, the problem is still present with MaxPathDepth=9 and disappear (in my case) with MaxPathDepth=10, if I go higher the rendering speed decreases too much, 10 seem to be a good compromize

GPU mode bug - Invisible objects shade themselves
I would like to point out this problem that is only present in GPU mode . In the second image below the not-visible wall contains an open window that is marked as "invisible to the camera" too. As you can see, the windows (and the wall) are correctly invisible, but the windows shadows on itself (bla...

Re: portal problem with Indigo GPU
Thank you for your answer, Indigo is an excellent product that I have been following for years because of its physical precision of materials. However, the speed of calculation is also important for those who cannot afford over a thousand Euro video cards to be used with a "brute force" approach. So...

Re: portal problem with Indigo GPU
We do indeed plan to both add multi-GPU support, and to support bidirectional path tracing with GPU acceleration. It's now eight years since this statement, as many people like me are using Indigo do interiors, I wonder if we will ever do bidirectional path tracing + GPU in Indigo. Is there any hop...

Igmesh binary format - Documentation for older formats (1,2 and 3) ?
Hi, in the online help it is only described the last version e.g. "4"
Searching online I've only found the description of the version "1"
So, I miss the specification for version 2 and 3...
Since I'd like to read IGMESH file could you please tell me where to search ?
Thank you
Antonio

Re: Shader function "sample2DTextureVec3" not working anymore...
[SOLVED] Starting from Indigo 3.6.14, the texture used by shader must be declared locally to the shader... Here is the correct shader: <material>
<diffuse> <texture> <uv_set>default</uv_set> CAST_IMG1_V2.bmp <exponent>2.2</exponent> 1 <c>0</c> </texture> ...

Re: Shader function "sample2DTextureVec3" not working anymore...
To help you, I've created a sample Image. The vase has this Material below: <material>
<diffuse> <texture> <uv_set>default</uv_set> CAST_IMG1_V2.bmp <exponent>2.2</exponent> 1 <c>0</c> </texture> <albedo> <shader> <shader> def eval(vec3 pos) vec...

[SOLVED] Shader function "sample2DTextureVec3" not working anymore...
Hi, I'm trying to export an Indigo scene from my CAD application. The shader below does't work anymore (it worked with an older Indigo version) This is the shader. I've done some test, the shader works, is the function "sample2DTextureVec3" that seems to always return (0,0,0) Please help !! Thank yo...

Re: [REQ] Front plane Camera Clipping
Good news!
I think this is one of the Indigo missing feature that would be very useful in interior rendering (specially for small rooms, e.g. real rooms)

Re: [REQ] Normal Maps support
I don't really see the advantage of normal maps over bump maps. I was looking at the "Maxwell Render 2.0 User Manual" in order to evaluate the functional differences between Indigo 2.x and Maxwell 2.x Here is what they say: Bump and Normal Mapping This parameter, much like the Roughness parameter, ...
