Rendering issues front face vs back face
Hi - I seem to recall earlier versions of Indigo 3 rendered the "Front Face" material, no matter which face was visible to the camera. Later, I believe this was changed so that the visible face was the one that Indigo rendered (WYSIWYG) even if it was the "Back" face. Now Im using Indigo 4.0.47 and ...

And check box to choose whether or not make indigo's active section plane equal to sketchup's active section plane.

Re: Indigo cache files fills hard drive on network slaves
Just checked my cache on indigo 4.0.47 and it's 800GB (after 2 months of using indigo on my new pc, my ssd was getting full)
maybe a reasonable auto delete like 50gb would be useful?

Re: Tone mapping?
Folks I'd love to know what settings to use for the most accurate colour reproduction. I sometimes prepare 'streetscape renders' which are flat elevations of a row of houses - we need to demonstrate colours and materials used on the houses. The coloures are defined in the model (sketchup) using RGB ...

Not sure that scatter is working correctly -
I have a component which is being scattered based on its geometry rather than based on its axis.
sketchup 2017 file and win 10 enterprise.\

Re: 360 spherical camera renders
Yeah - PDF ideally, or a web-based viewer. I guess either will be HTML5 or flash.
I have bluebeam review and adobe PDF Pro (Creative Suite) if that helps.
I'd be happy to pay a few $100s for a bit of software to do this nicely (but not $1000s).

Re: 360 spherical camera renders
OK I found the settings for "Spherical Camera" located in Skindigo (camera type) and in Indigo (Camera properties). and it was surprisingly easy to get a good result! This is awesome!
So now I need to learn how to get this into a PDF...
Any tips?

360 spherical camera renders
Hi Folks Do you know how to render a scene as a spherical *360 degree) camera view from Sketchup? Sketchup's camera is limited to 120 degree field of view. Once I have that render, what's a good bit of software that can display the resulting file for showing to clients? I don't need the camera to mo...

Re: (Skindigo) Optimizing objects for scattering
Not entirely but i have learned not to scatter components with too many sub-groups or sub-component instances. eg if you're scattering trees, don't make every leaf a component..explode it first. I haven't tested this thoroughly but would be very interested in any info you can find out so please repo...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
With my large scene loaded and selecting Open CL + my GPU (titan 6gb) , there is no S/S activity or Spp progress showing. The scene loads & builds OK. For a few minutes it showed a black screen an nothing else. Then the render started, and after a few minutes, still no S/S or spp action. It seems sl...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
I've loaded a large scene from a PIGs file and found that the interface is very unresponsive. I can start the render and it works OK, but selecting any menus (eg drop down for Render Settings) is impossible, the screen just refreshes and hangs. This is even before starting the rendering process. I h...

This may not help you directly but there's a great tech video for Disney's animated movie Moana, which features amazing realistic ocean wave animation:

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
Working well! quick requests..under material properties it says "rotation/scale" with numeric values set to 0 or 1 Can this be adjusted as a rotation in degrees? (and mirror?) Can the background plate overlay work as an underlay when foreground alpha is used? And i really miss the Stop button - not ...
