Re: Stereoscopic Spherical (Equirectangular) mod.
I'd replied in a longer post earlier. Not sure if it's under moderation as I'm a new user, but in short, I'm hoping Indigo Renderer team implements it (stereoscopic spherical support) as it's beyond my capabilities to code :) We'll see what Nick thinks, I don't know how hard it would be to implemen...

Re: Stereoscopic Spherical (Equirectangular) mod.
Yeah it is! I've been doing lots of VR stuff, so talking to Nick more.
I totally wish indigo had a awesome talkative again (like before we made it commercial). I'm just not sure how you'd make that happen.

Re: Don't upload copyrighted material, unless you're allowed
We tried to talk to the cg textures guy to see if we could come to some kind of agreement or whatever, especially since Indigo materials are a physical representation of the texture, not just a copy of the jpeg - but he would not talk to us about it, which is sad. It's sad about cgtextures - but the...

Re: Indigo Renderer Opensource Projects
Thanks rendigo.
We have a bunch more code to release as well - Nick is the author of a number of clever project like sleepy (a profiler) and some more. I'd also like to release a sample ISL implementation so that other physically based renderers can use it - although I can't promise anything.

Indigo Renderer Opensource Projects
We're working on opensourcing the non-core parts of our business - we'll do a proper announcement later when we have more done - but for now - you can access the newly relicenced Indigo Scene Format Technical Reference at github.com: http://indigorenderer.github.com/ The source code to this page is ...

Re: Indigo Renderer GPU acceleration
Hi drosophilia - Indigo uses only one gpu at the moment, and it only uses 50% of the gpu's power (we depend heavily on the cpu) - so it won't lag your computer too much.

Re: Indigo Material Editor suggestion
I agree - it would take some changes in the Indigo core though, and Nick and Thomas are working purely on the GPU at the moment. The Indigo GUI needs a lot of work, and the guys are aware of it - it's just they want to make Indigo faster first. I think how some other renderers work is very good, and...
