Re: arc en ciel rendering thread
subdivisions of 5 is really high. Maybe increase the amount of loops at bevels and set sub and smooth to 3?

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.55 Beta Release
... it seems like there are many more crashes and hangs with Indigo while changing values in shaders and render settings, even in pure CPU mode. That is the reason why v4 is still in Beta ;) If you somehow can provide some more detailed description of the "hangs & crashes" you encounter, the devs w...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.55 Beta Release
So I started to play around with the OpenCL rendering on the network! Its pretty amazing, and is working nicely but it seems like there are many more crashes and hangs with Indigo while changing values in shaders and render settings, even in pure CPU mode. Also, is there a way to delete a material i...

Re: May 2017 Competition
Just a tip on HDRI's. I keep them at 32bit exr but scale the resolution down to something like 192*128 for example. Keep in mind that the sources for the HDRI's I shoot myself so I know they have all the range which is why I keep color depth over resolution. I usually shoot with 5-7 stops or more if...

Re: May 2017 Competition
I considered it, but ultimately I wanted it to look like a clear frozen moment in time. Plus I'm still ironing out some issues with the Maya exporter and motion blur. :PZom-B wrote:fourzeronine, why no Motion Blur? :D

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.52 Beta Release
Great release. Is network rendering not enabled for GPU's? Seems to work just fine when I turn OpenCL off, but when its on the slaves don't do any work and seem to just keep uploading empty render data frames repeatedly.

nVidia GPU Ray Tracing Partners
Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I found this page on nVidia.com that mentions Indigo!

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.47 Beta Release
Im rendering a scene using network. 1 working master (2 gpus) and one slave rendering with (3 gpus). It seems the slave is only contributing the first 100 spp that it calculates very early in the render and never actually contributes much to the overall render. also in the network rendering tab it s...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
I don't think we can set this via OpenCL, it's handled by the driver. On the other hand, you can set the thread affinity in Task Manager to stop it from using certain logical cores; on the other-other hand, this should not be necessary and might be a bad idea - if a computer has 100% usage, that do...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release
I'd like to request to set the thread count for CPU in OpenCL mode. Currently indigo has performance degradation when using CPU and GPU at once. Other applications that utilize openCL have this feature because when the CPU is enabled on all cores the GPUs are left waiting for instructions while the ...
