Indigo SDK results different from Standalone
Hello, I don't have access to the SDK board, so I thought I'd post this here... I have a funny result when comparing an image rendered through the SDK and an image rendered through Indigo Standalone. What I did was generate the scene via the SDK, write it to XML, render it through the SDK, and then ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.20 Beta Release
There's an annoying bug with scene scale... First image is scaled in meters, so the boxes are all a couple meters wide / high / and deep. The plane underneath them is 20km to a side. Renders normally. rhindigo1.png Second image is scaled in millimeters, so all the boxes are only a couple mm wide / h...

Re: RhIndigo - Indigo for Rhinoceros 5.0 thread
Hi, Here is an updated RhIndigo plug-in for Rhino 6. Unzip -> Place into Rhino plug-ins folder -> Enable it in the plug-in options, if necessary Basic render material support: diffuse materials are created from the render material color. Sun/Sky is enabled by turning on the sun in the Rhino render s...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release
Also, the position pass should be able to write negative values to EXR. Anything behind (0,0,0) is clamped, leading to some funny results :P Fixed for next release :) Nice! BTW once again super blown away by Indigo's speed! This is a frame from an animation I'm slowly putting together, about 6-7 mi...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release
It seems that there shouldn't be anti-aliasing for the position channel.
See the attached image: we get false positions from the anti-aliased edges.
EDIT: This is a pointcloud generated from the beauty channel and position channel.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release
This is great!!
For exporting EXRs, could the option of embedding all passes into one multi-layered EXR be added? Really handy for compositing workflows.

License key retrieval
Hi, I had to replace my HD after a failure recently, and now I cannot find my Indigo license key... I have had the link before, but it is not obvious on the website where you can find it. What is the link to the customer page / license key? Could this be made much clearer on the website somehow? 'Bu...

Re: [REQ] light level / radiance
Also take into account what reflectance the surface (-s) have, the size of the space. I'm measuring directly off the light source. Its diffuse color is (0,0,0) so that it doesn't pick up any extra light. Keep in mind that the calculations use the centre of the light source as origin, thus using a s...

Re: [REQ] light level / radiance
On this topic, how would one get a pixel value of 1.0 from a lightsource emitting 1 lux? I've set the tonemapping to linear - though this surely is bypassed when exporting an untonemapped EXR? turned off vignetting for the camera, set exposure to 1 (second), f-stop to 1.0, the emitter is uniform , w...

Re: [REQ] light level / radiance
I'm wondering to what extent this could be done using the untonemapped EXR (linear, scene-referred) from Indigo already. Given that we can define the reflectance of a grey surface, and a specify a light source with a specific power / wattage, wouldn't you be able to turn the linear EXR values into u...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.14 Beta Release
Is this possible- To store a scene's parameters in an indigo scene, such that it could then be used in another indigo standalone scene, like merging 2 standalone scenes, into the standalone, as 2 separate scene geometries. Or can you bring in an FBX camera, or FBX animation/mesh, and have it pan-th...
