Not sure whether that'd be correct but I'd use the pow function. Try powers of 2.2 else 0.454545 depending on what gives.

Yes that's what I call the if(a,b,c) form, and it does work. No, I have not updated my CG board yet. It manages GPU Acceleration but not OpenCL rendering, that was all on CPU's. I have kind of fixed it by reverting to fbm's instead of multifractal... Merci ! Try if a then b else c Ahw yesss I forgo...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.43 Beta Release
There's an issue with the if statement. Error while building scene: Error occurred while parsing function 'clouds': Expected identifier 'else'. buffer, line 16: range = (if(useBox==1) ((pos.z - bottom)/offset) else ((D - bottom) / offset)) ^ Indigo version: Indigo Renderer v4.0.38, Windows 64-bit bu...

What version are you using, there is an error with exponent. I think I should update from 4.0.38.

You could add a vertically stretched noise to mix angles in order to smear the effect and avoid neatly bordered regions.

I kind of lent two thirds of my savings to a friend so he could buy an A1200, and he gave me the money back in hands by small bits. Those where my last savings ever.
