Thanks for replying guys.
I'll double-check names and permissions everywhere. I agree there should be no problem setting up a render farm between different OSs. And yup, error codes should be included with Índigo's documentation.

Alvaro

Help with network rendering
Hi guys, I'm following the tut found here: http://www.indigorenderer.com/documentation/manual/network-rendering/network-rendering-tutorial However I haven't succeeded on getting the slave computers to "talk" to the master. My setup is as follows: -1 manager computer: Windows 10 PC. Core I7 4770K @3....

How to render animation?
Hi guys, I've set everything as usual in Blendigo's options to render and animation, however, when I click on the "animation" button only the first frame gets sent to Indigo and rendered, once it finishes the samples I set for it it doesn't pickup the next image :( I looked in the forums but there's...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Thanks a lot Oscar! I hadn't taken the vertical lines into account in my image, but it sure is very helpful to know how to do an Architectural camera in Indigo, since, as you say, most arch-viz has got this kind of perspective :D I'll try to improve the image with your tip (as a matter of fact, I wa...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
ps. That last image is inspired on the one I'm attaching here. I remark "inspired" lol, it's not a copycat. I just liked the kind of space and its illumination
I'll try to add the emitters next.
cheers!

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Not at all! Your English is perfectly alright! ;) And don't worry, I'm old enough to take a good criticism beat up, lol. About the bloom trick, that's how I'm doing it! The only difference, in the tut I found, was that they set the layer blending mode to "soft light". Screen is usually used to light...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Lol! I love your honesty Oscar J
(and your sharp eye)
I know that bloomy thing might be a bad habit I acquired from older renderers, but I'm working hard on letting it go, hahahaha.
I'm attaching the "untouched" and more Indigo-Faithful version
thanks for commenting.

Re: Tips to reduce fireflies?
Another thing I'm loving about Indigo is that it reminded me to dust off many of the scenes I used back in the beta days. It's very nice to see how much it has matured since those days till now. Here's another shot, illuminated by mesh emitters only: http://www.telardigital.com/afecelis/indigo/japad...

Re: Tips to reduce fireflies?
OK, here we go. ;) -Got a better texture from arroway (diffuse+bump @6000x6000 px) for the floor. -Rendered the scene in 2 passes, 1 with sunlight + 1 with exr background. Left them render for 2500 samples each. -Found a better sky for the background. -Image compo in Gimp. -A bit of postpro. http://...

Re: Tips to reduce fireflies?
Hi guys, thanks for all the replies :D @Contegufo: thanks for the link. I'm also very excited about Indigo 4. @OnoSendai: thanks for taking the time to reply and letting us know about Indigo 4's current state. No hurries, the dev team must take the time required for Indigo 4 to be a software gem :D ...

Really? I feel so embarrassed! Lol! I'm on Linux Mint 17.2, which is Ubuntu—based.
I'll look into its options.
Thank you!

Re: Tips to reduce fireflies?
Thank you Polinalkrimizei! I almost couldn't find it! lol. You have to change the "Filtering" option to "Custom" for it to appear: http://www.telardigital.com/afecelis/indigo/supersampling_blender.jpg Here's the image so far: http://www.telardigital.com/afecelis/indigo/boveda_indigo_03.jpg I switche...
