Re: Sroka8888 Rendering Thread

Is the grass modelled manually or is it from a pack, and how did you scatter it?

Re: IndigoMax 0.3.8

I updated to 0.3.10 but still the problem persists.

All other material renderers work fine, including Maxigo 3.2Beta2.

Max version: 3dsMax 2012 SP2 Update 12, if that changes anything.

Re: IndigoMax 0.3.8

Yes in a normal standard render, the material comes out as expected.

In regards to the material editor, yes this seems to happen for all the materials, standard etc.

I currently have gamma correction turned off.

Re: IndigoMax 0.3.8

Thanks for the link Subpixel, those helped. I also found a brief guide in the Indigo Manual.

However, the materials are still a problem. I uninstalled but problem persists.

Re: IndigoMax 0.3.8

Subpixel, Progress is looking good with IndigoMax. Now that Indigo/Max integration is getting somewhere, maybe it is time for a PDF guide? There are basic settings that I can't seem to find or toggle.. such as switching between Sun/Sky, HDRI, or background which was neatly in its own tab in Maxigo. ...

Re: why there are 2 exporter for 3dmax?

Hi there Radiosity. As far as I am aware, IndigoMax is the "official" 3dsMax exporter, or at the very least, the exporter Glare are offering with their installation file. Maxigo was the exporter for Indigo, but reasons I don't know (and don't care to) -- was dropped in favour of IndigoMax. Maxigo 3....

Re: Building renovation

I think the real issue here is that all you have noted Zom-B would be understandable in a personal, no time limit project. If one is working for a client, there are deadlines to be met (I have just been in that position), and the real aim in this type of project is for the client to understand fully...

Re: [REQ] Backface-Culling!

@ Zom-B: Point 4 is sucks more than point 1. Right, so us Max users should change to Blender, Maya, SketchUp, C4D etc, re-build all scenes (even if one was to export to obj or another method - yawn), re-assign materials, not to mention having to get used to a different interface -- all because of in...

As a side question, are there any plans to release any more Saint-Gobain materials?

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.6.0 Beta Release

A fantastic release with great new features!!! But we need Exporters to support that new stuff! Its a shame having that new version but being limited to setup materials with Indigo GUI. I would love to try double sided mats with some of the foliage in my scenes, and also to save that work back into...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

Hey tar_gniK, Would you be able to share your max file and textures you did for the grass. It looks great and would like to pick around the scene to see how you did it. Also what exporter are you using for max? Thank you, Darius Kirschner No problem, the file is below, with two masks, the diffuse m...

Re: Simple Renderings Thread

The long grass is just one mesh instanced using MaxigoScatter, and the same process was used for the short grass. Screenshot below. The trick to this was using the diffuse map option. I blended two different photographs of grass from a distance, and made the colour of this a bit more uniform, otherw...
