Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.5 Beta

Hey Zom-B, I hope al is well. I am a grown man and I don't do the keyboard warrior thing, but my imac has 8gb of RAM, which I think would be enough for the fairly simple work I do. The issue occurs in all kinds of scenes. No error message is given. It simply either freezes up or crashes when I tried...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.5 Beta

Bucket Rendering, and denoising don't work on a 2013 imac with the latest version of MacOS installed. Niether does OpenCL rendering. Gives me zero samples per second, and crashes when I try to disable it. Seems like Indigo isn't targeting Mac users? Doesn't seem like a good move as almost the entire...

How to "zoom" out with an environment map

Hello,

I am using an HDR map with a scene, and no matter which file I choose, Indigo "zooms in" on it, and I can only see a small part of it. Is there any way to fix this? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Indigo's GPU rendering not working on Macbook Air mid 2015

My Macbook has Thunderbolt 2. Would this work if the solution is Thunderbolt 3? Would the two be backwards compatible?

Re: UI feedback

A "delete material" option would be nice as well. I do design by trade, and coming off Affinity Designer and Adobe's Industry standard products, it just seems like Indigo crashes quite often. I had several crashes when importing materials in a big scene for instance, and now all the dropdowns have b...

Re: UI feedback

Couple more thoughts after using this -Would be nice be able to select all objects in the scene by material. That way, if you want to replace every object that has material x assigned to it with "material y", you don't have to manually go through and do this one by one. -No way to assign a light lay...

Indigo's GPU rendering not working on Macbook Air mid 2015

Hello,

I am trying to render a hefty scene on my Macbook. I figured GPU rendering would speed things along, but when I turn it on, Indigo gets stuck on the "building" part and goes nowhere. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Re: Need help converting big 3DS file to SKP

Hello, Thank you so much for your help! The file is much smaller as well, which should help. Was it created on a Mac by some chance? I have a Mac, and I am unable to open the file. I can see it in Finder, but when I try to open it up in Sketchup, it's not there. I assume that is because it was not c...

Need help converting big 3DS file to SKP

Hello all, So, I downloaded a rather large 3D model of the city of NYC (It is around 1/3 the buildings on Manhatten) from the city's website. I managed to convert it to 3Ds from a 3DM file, and then somehow imported the 122 mb file in Sketchup on my Macbook Air. Importing into Sketchup alone took se...

Re: UI feedback

Anyway, the online material browser is a great touch! It helps to be able to visualize things without splitting your attention. A couple things that I think would really help to boost productivity -Add a back button and categories for browsing. -Let us adjust the size of the thumbnails with a slider...

Re: UI feedback

Having a lot of fun with Indigo. Some more thoughts 1) "Assign material" doesn't seem to work when the render is paused. I could be wrong, but this makes assigning materials kind of hard if you are using software rendering (I am on a MacBook Air that doesn't really work well with Indigo's GPU render...

Re: UI feedback

My idea as far as a "scene" file was to function more like a continuous session. So, say you nailed down the perfect camera setting in Indigo, but then noticed that you had to make a change in say Sketchup (I know, I am biased.) Indigo would recognize that you are still working on the same project a...
