Re: Escort Mk1 WIP

You're correct, I've used a few Photoshop filters to achieve the effect. I've not really perfected this stage yet! I'm not able to work on this at the moment due to exams, but I'm definitely going to continue soon.

Hi all,

I'd like some constructive feedback on this image before I render it at a high resolution.

Re: Lounge Chair (animated)

Wow, that was quick! It looks a lot more stable now.

What do you mean a 'beamer'? Is that some kind of laser used to burn the shape of the chair to the wood or projector?

Anyway, I look forward to seeing it completed! Keep us updated.

Re: Lounge Chair (animated)

If you are planning on making this for real then you are going to need to design some way of taking lateral loads; something like a cross brace at the rear. At the moment it won't take any load from the side.

Well done galinette, you deserved the win. There was no way I could have produced such beautiful textures in ISL. Maybe next time :)

Re: Infinity - space game - very impressive render engine

Being a fairly active contributor/organiser for this game, I might be able to address the concern that features are too big: First, these features might be a bit too big for earth, but in this case this isn't earth, its just one of many procedurally generated planets, where gravity could be lower or...

Re: New sculpting program - Sculptris

I found that it messes up meshes when trying to import. It auto tessellates meshes with smoothing, which makes sharp details disappear and fingers look like sticks!

Its still pretty awesome though.

Galinette's got the upper hand; I can't program at all!

Any suggestions for new materials are welcome.
