Awesome update whaat
I dug out a few old models id had trouble rendering in the past (due to their size) and they're lighting fast now. ~10secs for 550,000 faces!

Could we get rid of the 'Home' link in the link trail thing? its annoying (i keep clicking it in mistake for 'Forums') and serves exactly the same purpose as the big 'Home' button about 30 pixels above it.

Re: Indigo demo at some convention?
Depends how you measure 'best' really, in terms of ease of setup vs. quality results, it probably is, but then if you factor in speed you'll drop a few places.

Re: Indigo 2.4/2.6 roadmap
My understanding is that the scene needs to be stored in the GPU ram to get any reasonable speed advantage from using the GPU, so that would suggest the 275 with its greater memory.

Cheers for the clarification, and thanks for the brilliant site. Its the best source for textures in my opinion

Re: Arion renderer
Sounds like a sneaky way of saying 'its going to cost a lot' to me. Especially if you consider that a lot of people may well have to fork out for a new graphics card in the process.

Re: Blender 2.5 Alpha 0 -- Released--
Neo0, theres 3 little buttons at the bottom of the viewport that let you switch between face/edge/vertex selection. Alternatively ctrl+tab+2 will get you in to edge selection as well.

Re: Blender 2.5 Alpha 0 -- Released--
Neo0, bear in mind its still an alpha release, so updating hundreds of pages of docs so they no longer represent the current stable version would be a little hasty, i think.

[bug, i think] UV mapping
using your ever useful UVtool to try and map that image of the moon from the off topic forum, but somethings going funny with the UVing from SU to indigo.
Everything looks fine in SU, but after exporting to indigo its all banded.
I can post a few screenshots if itd be helpful.

Re: Warning against upgrading to v7.1
Anything more specific? can you get reproducible crashes?
"it crashes, working on 10,000 polygon models" doesnt really say anything about why it might be crashing.
