I found 3770k was one of the best value builds if building multiple (although this wasn't bench'd with indigo).
RAM is at a premium these days, can anyone really use over 32GB without bringing the render to a near halt due to extreme amounts of geometry?

[REQ] Spotlight
Spotlights are great for accent lights but what's more important is they can be easily (quickly!) visualised and manipulated in 3d program interface without fiddle assing around with IES files or "modelled spotlight housings". I use spotlights all the time for accent and is a very common light type ...

How to code ISL
Hi
I'm looking for ability to multiply textures over another (maybe with different mapping/scale). I heard ISL could do that, where can one learn ISL?
Is it suitable for artist to learn (like python/css/html) or do we need to be computer scientist (c++ style)?

Re: cafe
You need to make the furniture placement more natural. Look at the line of stools at bar for example.
And yes, its too contrast.

Re: Multi GPU
Luxrender doesn't have full opencl rendering mode anyway. It has hybrid path rendering with opencl (ray intersections). Then it has a completely seperate render engine called SmallLuxGPU (SLG), which is an opencl engine with a smaller feature set than that of Luxrender (but samples much quicker) and...

Re: Pay for features?
At the moment this is just a consideration, no secret stuff. Actually I don't have even an indigo license yet, because of some features/workflow missing, it's making it hard. If I was going to pay for feature most likely it would be blendigo development because not everyone uses blendigo. The purpos...

Re: [REQ] hdr environment - gamma control
These a,b,c names sound like a generic placeholder for something that should be named properly.

Pay for features?
Hi I think one of the strengths of indigo is that it's small enough to be able to hear the users. Is it possible you would consider pay for feature implementation, say for features perhaps not generally useful to all but specific uses, or features someone wanted to be put higher on the todo list? Th...

Re: [REQ] Blended box mapping
Mapping other than UV mapping would be a welcome idea.
