Re: External mesh vs dummy vs model
Sorry I am not checking Indigo forum so often. Actually it uses much less system RAM and GPU Vram when rendering external mesh than when using original model file/dummy. So before I was also using transmutr to lower the file sizes of plants but in order to be remotely usable I had to lower geometry ...

Re: External mesh vs dummy vs model
Yeah I got it, but I did a test and to be fair, using external mesh helps a lot in reducing memory usage. I don't know how it works but external mesh have multiple times less MB in files. So attached are files, images 1 and 2 show .skp file of external mesh component and folder of actual .igs meshes...

External mesh vs dummy vs model
Hi guys, I am using SketchUp and as always there is a problem with heaviness of the model while working in it, especially if there are complex and detailed vegetation models, so my question is: Are external mesh, dummy and original model itself same in terms of memory usage for Indigo? Lets take exa...

Re: Pikadili89's projects
So long render time, but still visible many light artefacts...it is because for GPU rendering and denoising does not possible set max contribution...I dont know it is bug or some limitation of GPU, but for me personally it complicates the work a lot... small fireflies with high intensity will make ...

Re: Pikadili89's projects
may i ask , interiors renders are done with GPU or CPU ? if GPU how long it take in average one image ? Hello Jan, I did them with GPU and denoiser.... average is around 6-14 hours. The thing is that I left each one over the night so depends when I went to sleep and came back to work tomorrow.

Re: Eneen's archviz corner
Two years later and I still can't figure out how you managed to do such contrast of light and shadow, while maintaining perfect env sky in the background and absolutely nowhere burn...... /cryingonfloorwhileinfetalposition

Re: Pikadili89's projects
Many thanks guys, I appreciate it! :D However I am not really happy with my ENV map lighting. I spent countless hours trying to make it realistic but simply failed heavily each time. I saw that Eneen is doing some amazing shots of exterior and I did ask him in the comments if he could share a secret...

Re: Pikadili89's projects
Hi again guys, long time no see! :D here is my, so far, career project! It is apartment complex in Laax, Switzerland, the project task was to plan and design, both exterior and interior, two new buildings and one addition to existing building in mix of contemporary and swiss-french chalet styles. Lo...

Re: Eneen's archviz corner
Amazing renders! What stuns me most is the env map, lighting and shadows. Any tips on those, would be very helpful! I simply can't achieve that combination of env map saturation and so realistic lighting and shadows!
Many thanks in advance!

Re: Pikadili89's projects
Thanks pixie! Yes I agree with you, it is not very suitable for living. However my client will rent this apartment for holidays via Airbnb or Booking. Therefor his request was that it should accommodate up to 10 guests (including 2 sleeping in living room on sofa), this being said, along with additi...

Re: Pikadili89's projects
Thank Ono! Yes it looks weird and I have no clue why it looks like that, as you said, it looks like its in a glass or smth. I did follow instructions as mentioned in Bubs post: https://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=13371 I mean, it is blend material and both materials are .png fi...
