This build seems a lot faster than other recent betas..
To launch indigo and obtain a simple render feels almost instant...impressive!

Re: Wanted: Scatter presets
Bumping this thread because its 4 years old and we don't have any presets or "save scatter formula" options yet......are these coming soon? Surely not too hard to implement. Other renderers are now way ahead in this area.

Re: theroanecollective.com Current Project
I really like the design and the scene overall. There's an issue with one of the window panes (horizontal band across it). My feedback is generally about personal preference - things i would do to make the scene look more realistic That may not be what you're going for? Generally I think the lightin...

thunderbolt 3 experiences
Hi All Im having issues with network rendering (IT policies etc) so looking at thunderbolt 3 + external GPU/s. Anyone tried this - does indigo have any issues? I have a certified laptop (HP omen15) and a PC with 2 GPUs so hoping to connect them via cable. I assume i'll need a thunderbolt 3 card for ...

Re: Nvidia MaxQ not detected as Open CL Device?
OK I got it working again by uninstalling and reinstalling Indigo and the Display drivers.
Perhaps the previous install didn't quite work as it should have. (maybe in the wrong order?).
PS I don't seem to be able to submit indigobench scores as it says I need to Log in first (i am logged in).

Nvidia MaxQ not detected as Open CL Device?
Hi I'm having trouble using CL rendering on my laptop which has a Nvidia GTX 1070MaxQ. "No supported Open CL devices" are detected. My Indigo version is the latest 4.1.29 beta and the video drivers are also the latest from the manufacturer (H.P.) version 398.36. I also tried using indigo bench and t...

Re: ...idea for SkIndigo models easy sharing...
I haven't used C4D or Max so not sure about their workflow - integrated sounds good (more like mental ray or renderworks?) I' m not sure how you would create render-ready components for sketchup given the material assigning process is so complicated. Please do correct me if I'm wrong, but the sketch...

Re: ...idea for SkIndigo models easy sharing...
Nice idea, but I worry that you could spend weeks setting up materials only for them to become 'broken' later on if something changes in the software. And how would you add these to the 3dw? Create a huge custom collection (effectively duplicating the 3dw?) I'm not sure how that would work in practi...

How do I measure Lux levels?
Is there a way to click a point in the model and find out what the lighting level is at that point? (on a surface, probably)
Thanks
Thanks

LayOut 2018
Have any of the recent 2018 changes enabled LayOut to run the skindigo exporter? How great would it be if we could set up perspective model views in LayOut, and have those views rendered in Indigo? (and then the LayOut view would automatically attach a rendered JPG to the view) There's HUGE value-ad...

Removing grey bars from Sketchup
All rendering software seems to afect sketchup's camera by changing the aspect ratio to suit your output resolution - but sketchup reflects this by putting grey shaded areas over the edges of your drawing. We have a button "reset camera" that helps - but when a model has dozens of scenes, this can b...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.55 Beta Release
I'm finding this version is really fast and good, however the progress of the reneder is a bit hard to follow. It seems to jump quickly to 20.09 samples per pixel, then to 84spp, but its not counting up progress as it goes or letting me refresh between update points. (possibly these are 5min updates...

Re: Rendering issues front face vs back face
Just to clarify then, the behaviour should be that the face pointing toward the camera is the one that Indigo renders?
(on a related note; does indigo export the back face as well? ive never thought to check)
