Re: Indigo Renderer 3.8.0 Beta Release
there is a bug with sub surface scattering (same old scene for testing):
There is a mirror on the right. The pot with scatter material is as you see.- Fri Feb 07, 2014 5:15 pm

maya to indigo plugin
Hey CTZn!
Check out this:
http://www.openmaya.net/openmaya/mayato ... _about.php
You could try to improve what is already done:
https://github.com/haggi/OpenMaya/tree/ ... yaToIndigo
It still lack of features:

Re: [REQ] Baking to Texture (Lightmap)
For static scenes this would maybe possible, but once a light moves, the diffuse calculations wouldn't fit anymore. There can be an analysis of the current and next frame overlap and bake the overlap diffuse in another channel that will be discarded and used as base for areas to shot samples in the...

Re: [REQ] Baking to Texture (Lightmap)
Hi there.
+1
It would be very useful in fly through were the diffuse is only rendered once and in the next frames all the power goes to specular, reflections etc. Maybe this would solve the caustics in the mirror sds problem as well!

cool!
Does it affect in mirror/refraction caustics and volumetrics?

Re: [REQ] remove aperture diffraction supersampling fireflie
Having a noise filter kill Fireflies before applying PostPro AD would be a interesting approach. Yes it would be nice if it had a value for tweaking the filter. From my experience it renders ~10% slower and causes some extra colored noise in the beginning, but avoids such AD firefly issues. As CTZn...

[REQ] remove aperture diffraction supersampling fireflies
Can they be removed? Were fireflies are persistent we can use supersampling to get rid of them, but when we use post process aperture diffraction the fireflies persists in appearing even if the render without diffraction does not have fireflies (traced diffraction is not an option because it only ap...

Re: tricky scene, Indigo stops sampling
Same here in indigo 3.6.23 on windows, it just stops sampling and if you update the image nothing happen, but the CPU is 100% and it uses almost one giga of memory. The progress bar is working and if you stop indigo and close it, it freezes and you have to kill it.

Yes, 10 is the maximum you can get on indigo gui. I get only maximum 6 when exporting from maya.

Re: [REQ] Bake constrains
lycium, octrees you said ? Hehe, why should I say no* :D !? Where the displaceable spheres already XD (woops) ? edit: ah, that would rather be from point datasets (density/homogeneity to octree resolution) ? * Because Maya does not manage octrees natively ! I do not think you need octrees, I should...
