Using instances:
Either use an mti_InstanceLocator or the instancing feature in mtiMain:

Either way, a prefix is required.
Treat it as a normal search string, only w/o the asterix:
if you want to exchange sphere1Shape, it suffices to write sphere1Shap.


3DS-feature is not supported right now, we should kick it out (i thought bonus tools provided 3ds im- and export, I was wrong)
Single object export doesn't seem to work as I can't get the shaders assigned when multiple groups are in one object file. It would be cool if somebody could 
come up with an answer here.
